A MORAL ISSUE

Post by the guardian »

A friend of mine got on the bus. Suddenly he notices the seat next to him has a bag with a heck of a lot of money, so naturally he snatches it and hides it on him. So, ten minutes afterwards the bus driver starts yelling that someone stole the money from the bus whatchamacallit, and starts searching the entire bus for the missing bills.

Would you return the money with an apology, or take it to yourself? Hint : my friend is currently 1300$ richer.

If somebody left that lying around, I'd say he had to learn a lesson.

So I'd keep it, besides I could very well need it.

In the U.K, TMNT was brodcast under the name "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles" due to fears that the "ninja" part of the logo was too extreme a word to use on British television at the time

I'd prolly drop it on the ground and kick it under someone else's seat, just out of paranoia. If the driver knew it was on the bus before he loaded it, and now it's missing, it's just common sense that someone on that bus has it. He's gonna start searching people any minute now.

Wait a second, there's tons of video cams in our busses, so it'd be hard to get away with something like that here. And I've got a bus card, so they (the bus company) could identify me by looking up my info in their databases (after having seen me steal the chit on the surveillance tape)... :aiee:

With very few exceptions, that would be entirely illegal in most parts of the world.

I would abscond with the money at an inconspicuous time, and burn it at a more convenient moment. Far be it for me to profit from the misery of another, amusement on the other hand . . . If time were an issue, I would quietly ruin the money in some way, urine for example. Ideally, white phosphorous. :drunk:

I'd steal the money then kill everyone on the bus, sell their loot for profit and buy a plasma rifle with it. I'd then proceed to the Master's base and talk him into comitting suicide!

I would have pocketed the money and left the bag there, so he wouldn't have known it was gone until he opened it.

I don't think anyone would relate a random bag to the crime if doesn't contain the lost money.

Anyway, concerning my approach in similar situation, i would most likely take it and waste it all in one day.

I think that was a given for all of us. I doubt any of us are going to be opening and Roth IRA retirement funds with it or anything.

Jews and their opinions don't count on the internet. I think it's part of the Geneva Convention or something.
