The wasteland is full of shitty conversations that could pursued via another alternative such as msn. I know the wasteland isn't moderated... but c'mon.

And that "you don't have to read it if you don't want to" excuse wont cut the cheese muchachos. I will concede that there is some funny content there, however it fails to amuse when you have to read through seven pages of shite.

The place is meant for this sorta shit. Think of it as the unconsciousness part of the forum - mostly it's nonsensical gibbrish, and if you pray between the crap, you can find some good thoughts. Fairly rare lately, I agree, but still.

Why not let me moderate it? I swear I can make it all better, yes I can.

Hah, actually I've talked to others about this, and I think we all agree that the wasteland serves a purpose here. It manages to keep most of the spam, goatse and tubgirl to one forum specifically for that, and allows us an alternative to locking retarded threads (move them to the wasteland) - and locked threads is something I'm really not keen on.

maybe u can clean it out every couple of months, like taking out the trash

or making some threads like comedy gold or something then deleting the rest.

Unless its fucking up the forum you should just keep it. I like big archive of stuff even though most of it is shit.

Yeah, but given how much mindless spam occurs at DAC, it's a lot easier to just have the Wasteland. I've repeatedly suggested simply banning Susan, which would be an even quicker solution, but hey, whatever works.
