<strong>[Community -> Editorial]</strong>
<p>19 years ago, on April 26, 1986, undercover CIA agents in an effort
to undermine the reputation of Union of Soviet Socialist Republics as a
part of the inhuman "war on communism", sabotaged Reactor #4 of
Chernobyl Nuclear Powerplant at the city of Pripyat, Ukraine, which
resulted in a nuclear meltdown and the massive ejection of radioactive
material into the atmosphere. Afraid that if the truth were ever to
come out, the political pressure would coerce the Communist Party into
declaring a full-scale war on the United States, likely wiping all
carbon-based life off the face of the planet in a monstrous nuclear
exchange, Russian authorities have decided to cover up the real cause
of the meltdown and declare the incident as "a tragic accident".</p><p>Believe what you want. But it's the TRUTH<sup>*</sup> that will set you free!</p><p><sup>*</sup><sub><sub>(the truth being that hopefully for all of us this was the last time a Ukrainian got a job as a nuclear technician)</sub>.
