I'm currently reading Battle Royale, pretty funky. Although with it being a translation you can get some weird sentences and there's be one name mixup I've noticed so far but it's pretty good overall.

I've just finished covering all three Foundation books by Asimov. They came in one big, fat book(It means I'm smart now), and they were pretty good, although I did find the last one to be kind of poor when compared to the previous ones.

I only really liked the first Foundation book. Honestly, in sci-fi, I tend to prefer short story anthologies over anything else. Which incidentally reminds me that Arthur C. Clarke's Tales from the White Hart is a terrific collection.

The whole psychohistory concept was kind of cool up until the part that he brought the word "Mule" up. Honestly, i get the word play here... stubborness and the nickname mule, but I keep picturing him as a thin donkey with a mean look in his eyes who walks on two legs.

Great book series. His other books are so and so IMO, but this books are fucking terrific.

Candice Bushnell books are pretty kewl.

I just finished reading Invisible Monsters (by *gasp!* Chuck Palahniuk,) and it was pretty good. It was all about how important it is to re-invent yourself and how in order to really live a good life, you need to screw up royally. I also learned a little bit about sex changes and prescription drugs so yeehaw.

Oh yeah, I found out what felching was. Good for me.

In school, I read Frankenstein in one sitting. It was a decent book actually. Right now, I have to start reading Mill On The Floss by George Elliot.

Diary kinda turned me off. How does Invisible Monsters compare? The premise sounds intriguing, anyway.

Invisible Monsters is a decent read. The characters are fairly interesting and the plot is definitely creative. However, the plot jumps around a-fucking-lot. A couple of times I had to pause and wonder what just happened. The token Palahniuk "twist ending" was pretty good, but the one in Diary was by far better. The female characters seemed fairly feminine considering Invisible Monsters was written by a guy (although he's is gay).

If you like the traditional Palahniuk style (think Fight Club, not Diary) then you'll like Invisible Monsters. I'd recommend it.

I didn't mind Fight Club as a novel but I doubt i'd read his books because of it. It wasn't a great book so why the hell would I read his other ones.

Plus its not my style of reading to start with.
