Creative thinking question

Post by jiujitsu »

If a triangle is red
and a circle is yellow
what color is a trapezoid?

I'll check back later to see if anyone got the correct answer. Oh, and explain why you got the answer you did or I won't consider your response.

1)White, by my default. except for the outlines, which will be black, by default
2)If my awesome trapezoid is constructed of three identical triangles, then he will be red
3)Supposing the triangle is trapped in the circle, and the trapezoid is trapped in the triangle. The trapezoid is either red, or orange, depending on what the rules of the game are.
4)Supposing the triangle is trapped in the circle, and the trapezoid is trapped in the circle, but not in the triangle. The trapezoid is either mostly yellow, with a red center, or mostly yellow, with an orange center, depending on what the rules of the game are.
5)Supposing the circle is trapped in the triangle, and the trapezoid is trapped in the triangle. The trapezoid is either yellow, or orange, depending on what the rules of the game are.
6)Supposing the circle is trapped in the triangle, and the trapezoid is trapped in the triangle, but not in the circle. The triangle will either be red, with parts yellow, or orange, with parts yellow, depending on what the rules of the games are.

I can go deeper, rather endlessly.I liked the trapezoid best when he was white, or possibly constructed of three identical triangles, which makes him red.

A last alternative is that, the trapezoid is EVERY COLOR AND NON, since he doesn't have to be so rigidly connected with the other shapes. In that case, I think he's colored like a pony. Possibly like a hairy cow. Possibly a hairy cow that is not safe for work.

If you travel fifty miles north, then fifty miles south, then fifty miles east, what colour is your shirt?

By the way, guardian, a triangle might be inscribed in a circle.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

YOU THINK YOU'RE SMART WITH YOUR ITALIC TEXT AND YOUR MONKEY ISLAND AVATAR, BUT I AM THE ONE WITH THE BIGGER HEAD.

We say trapped. A quick visit to dictionary.com informs me you're right, but on the other hand, a hebrew-english dictionary says you're wrong. I trust no one.

Sir, I have nothing to say to you, save for-

Get her into an od of black tar heroin, then when she passes out just call the local preach', have her rebaptized as catholic and marry her. If she has memory issues, I'm sure she won't mind.

I guess I gave you guys more nerd credit than you deserve.

You're just a bunch of plain internet losers.

I figured at least one of you was genius enough to solve this.

I'll try the codex.

If the triangle is red and the circle is yellow, then the square must be orange.
In this case the trapezium ought to be amber in color, logically.

Square is trapezoid, four triangles make a square, inscribe it into circle and

a)jujitsu, you OH SHIT I HEAR THE ICE CREAM TRUCK!!!!!111!1111oneone. This is the worst riddle I've ever seen. There is no answer to it.
b)Get her into an od of black tar heroin, then when she passes out just call the local preach', have her rebaptized as catholic and marry her. If she has memory issues, I'm sure she won't mind.
c)the trapezoid will be still red, because you painted it over the circle
d)The trapezoid will be orange, because you are using fresh paint
e)You are a poor starving artist and you will die in some back street bleeding from your anus afterbunch of ugly swell guy rape you. You should have chosen a better fucking job.
Serious Business.

Oh, Koki my dear, don't be mad just because you cannot get it. There's still a place for you in society... somewhere.

Oh, and it isn't a riddle. There is nothing to trick you, nothing to throw you off, and you need all of the information given to solve it. It's a test of logic.

Somehow, the logic of this riddle escapes me.

Riddles have a trick to them. This can be solved logically.
