I'll start on the Foundation series after I finish the Riverworld Series by Philip Jose Farmer.

Candice Bushnell books are pretty kewl.
I just finished reading Invisible Monsters (by *gasp!* Chuck Palahniuk,) and it was pretty good. It was all about how important it is to re-invent yourself and how in order to really live a good life, you need to screw up royally. I also learned a little bit about sex changes and prescription drugs so yeehaw.
Oh yeah, I found out what felching was. Good for me.
In school, I read Frankenstein in one sitting. It was a decent book actually. Right now, I have to start reading Mill On The Floss by George Elliot.

Invisible Monsters is a decent read. The characters are fairly interesting and the plot is definitely creative. However, the plot jumps around a-fucking-lot. A couple of times I had to pause and wonder what just happened. The token Palahniuk "twist ending" was pretty good, but the one in Diary was by far better. The female characters seemed fairly feminine considering Invisible Monsters was written by a guy (although he's is gay).
If you like the traditional Palahniuk style (think Fight Club, not Diary) then you'll like Invisible Monsters. I'd recommend it.

I didn't mind Fight Club as a novel but I doubt i'd read his books because of it. It wasn't a great book so why the hell would I read his other ones.Ernesto wrote:If you like the traditional Palahniuk style (think Fight Club, not Diary) then you'll like Invisible Monsters. I'd recommend it.
Plus its not my style of reading to start with.
