Most frustrating game moment
Thought I'd ask other people about their experiences since I just had one today...
I believe I was on the third mission (recover the arm, destroy the raiders), I had accomplished everything and was heading for the exit, when my entire squad of 5 blithely ran over a landmine and got blown to little bloody chunks. The only survivor was the leader. Then I realized I hadn't saved in almost an hour...
Anyone else got one?

Nope, but I had the thing when I was escorting the scribe home from his jail that an enemy that was sneaking ignored me when I ran past him, but when the scribe came near, he killed him.
I, of course, killed the sonuva bitch in the most painfull way my character could manage at that time.

i've had this happen once, and i've seen it posted on the forums a million times...
killing a lifter bot right at the doorway in one of the missions (the town's name slips my mind right now).
another one is running over one of your guys/yourself with a vehicle. that shit pisses me of like crazy... i blew up a hummer because of that.

Having decimated all the enemies/completed all objectives in CTB mode without 1 re-load and then an NPC gets stuck in a map glitch on the way to the exit zone and I had to re-load and fight the final battle again!!!
Happened to me yesterday on the Junction City (1st Reaver) mission!! I was not a happy camper....

I was in Osceolla once and Robin was sneaking around and had knocked out all of the patrols with mines. I was going to sneak around the building with the alarm and sleeping SMs in it. Suddenly Robin was stuck in the Camera Boundary and I couldn't get him to move. Then I realized that after all of that stealthy maneuvering I had failed to save...

Hmmm... I've never gotten a character stuck. Lucky me
But I second War Bringer's frustration on killing a tank bot/lifter in a doorway... that really sucks.
But I guess it's sorta OK, though. Maybe the game designers didn't want the player to breeze by a bunch of 'em (since they can't go through doors) without some kind of "punishment" or something.

Heh, here's my story: When I was coming back from Osceolla, I think, the one where you kill Gammorin, it crashed automatically as soon as I got back in my bunker. After four hours of being pissed, I finaaly figured that for some reason, if I left my Hummer in the wasteland and then went into the bunker, it would be fine. Weird.
I have tons of stories like all of you but I will share 2 of my best pity stories!
One time I (i don't remember what mission) But i was trying the Tough guy feature and I got like 7 or 8 missions into the game and by this time I was on my way to Delta after completeing a mission. And my squad was so rattled that it could barely stand. I got stopped by a troop of Muties that were trudging along and was slaughtered. I couldn't believe I was so stupid as to forget to save at bunker Beta which was like 2 missions ago. I was pissed...
Also I saved (not using the tough guy feature) after getting into one of the first robot missions (the one when you had to find the EMP prototype) and I had to go back after playing the mission for about half an hour.

Have any of you had that little problem where your little brother "accidently" saves over your savegame file when you're like 3/4 of the way through the game. And do any of you know how to maybe reverse this or a really good way to hide/dispose of a body
Is it they fear the pain of death or do they fear the joy of life?
Life is only an outer layer, for reality is only realized by the insane.

most annoying thing: getting all the way to the entrance to the area 51 base and it would keep crashing.
then started ALL over. I'd get on the map and move barely part of one square. It crashed.
I recently reinstalled. Hopefully it won't do that this time. I'm running FO:T patched to 1.25, as it didn't seem to do it after that patch...it only happened with 1.27

This one is especially annoying because I'm still stuck on it.
I made it to mission 20, Cheyenne Mountain, where you must take the Nuke APC to Vault-0's door to blow it open. So I choose to wipe the map clean of robots before bringing in the APC, since I don't have any good repair characters with me. Anyways, I finally make it all the way to the door on foot. Now, remember how there's a behemoth and two turrets slightly before the Vault door? Well, I wiped them out, of course, but then, when I went back to get the Nuke APC, I made it back there and found that the destroyed Behemoth was blocking the APC from advancing. Even though the game shows me that there's more than enough space to drive through, I always bump into the dead robot that isn't there. Now, it appears my only choice is to start the entire mission over, making sure I kill the behemoth far from the road. Grr.
Oh, and Slashco, that happened to me, too in Rock Falls, but I had saved only minutes before. However, when loading my game, I somehow managed to accidentally miss the 'load' button and click the 'delete' one. That made me angry.

Ok, my bad stories.
On the final mission but one (Cheyenne Mountain) I had got all my squad except the driver and the leader in the bunker and on the way back to the bunker, the driver walked down the ladder but stopped the leader from doing so, he was vapourised. I was playing on tough guy mode and hadn't saved since before mission 19!!!!!!! I tried loading that save but it was corrupt!!!! I had to start from the beginning.
Also in the mission where you have to attack a robot base (where a paladin leads the attack but gets slaughtered) and I'd completed all the objectives. I was playing as a robot. I killed a tank bot and it was covering half of the doorway, my recruits could fit through but I couldn't. I had only one save file that happened to be saved just before trying to get back through the door after killing the bot. I had to start all over again.

most annoying and sucky moment for me is going into the second to last mission without enough ammo and saving over my only worldmap file while in this mission. and if that iis enough i found myself struggling just to kill one bot when there are like 70 that is a thing you do not want to be doing.
Soldier of the wastes.
heres a glitch that really made me angry:
on that level where you need to rescue all the reaver dudes, and send them to the exit-- they temporarily join your party.
i put one in the tank, with some other guys and i drove off into the sunset with the last reaver abord, then after the de-breef and all
i returned to the BOS outpost, and behold! my main charactor is now Tobias-Pasty (or whatever)
and i was like... hey, wheres Stoma? nooo! i hadnt saved scince the beggining of the level, and now i could trade in my former main charactor for other people. damn you Reavers!

Here's a more recent one - my computer crashed just as I was saving, meaning the savegame was corrupt. I had to go back to a previous save, which was 2 missions back.
But I still finished the game today - very nice ending movie BTW. And I should've known better than putting that damn nazi Barnaky in charge...

there is more than one ending to fallout tactics. depends what you do.
my main stories of woe are to do with not saving for upwards of 2 hours during game play. that is always extremely annoying.
another annoyance is when i head out, tooled up to the max, and get into a mission area and realise i have only one magazine of ammo per weapon. or i bring the wrong ammo.
one of my biggest woe stories was the bunny-hop incident. i was on a mission, the one where those ungrateful bastards stole some power armour. i sent in my squad of 6 and ended with all intact. problem was i wanted to take such a lot of equipment that my squaddies became immobile. i spent about an hour or more moving my whole squad back home to the exit grid, filling one squadie to almost the max and transfering between two other squadies. one in front and one at the back with shitloads of equipment. upon reaching the exit grid i saw a familiar friend:
BOS ERROR
i was unhappy. i broke my keyboard in the rage.

i've learned my lesson about saving in multiple slots.
fo2 was the teacher, and i was the dunce.
"oh, i'll just get to new reno quick before i save"
too bad a was coming from navarro, and i shouldnt even have been there that early. i was close to death and i had run to the exit grid. now, i could've just clicked the green arrow again go in, and save, but nooo, i click the new reno tab. the inevitable happened, and it happened and then some. swarmed by a bunch of DC's to the point where i couldnt move, let alone run alway. i hadn't saved since killing the guy in robes at the front.
other than that, stuff has been more like "annoying" than frustrating. as some of you know, i was in Preoria and in my single player n00bness, i decided to fight it out with them. at least that one payed off, by scoring some major denero selling the ammo from em.
