Yes, that's already occurred. There's a lot of passion from everyone to see Fallout return.
What that means for hiring people to work on Fallout 3, I'll leave for you to decide.

However he states they already had contact, which kind of raises the question of "with who"? None of the Fallout devs I talk with ever mentioned having contact with Bethesda, hell, some of them even mentioned Beth's rather cold 'tude.

It really is more likely that they'll fly purely solo, not even using the developers in a consulatory function (which I know some would like to do). How much they would then listen to us who really have no bussiness talking about Fallout? Who knows. It's like X-com all over again.
