Jagged Alliance goes handheld

Post by Mr. Teatime »

<p>The JA and Fallout franchise have some strong ties: both are turn
based, both use a similar viewpoint, both have hardcore, dedicated
fanbases. However, so far, only one of them has a Nintendo DS version
in development. Here's part of the <a href="http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php ... ad&order=0" target="_self">press release</a>:</p>
<blockquote>
<p><em>"This is a fantastic opportunity for Pocket
PC Studios and Strategy First to bring these phenomenal titles to the
Nintendo DS platform," said G.R. Moore, President and CEO of Pocket
PC Studios. "We will utilize our expertise in bringing high profile
desktop games to mobile devices to expand the Disciples and Jagged Alliance
franchises onto the hottest handheld console since the Nintendo Gameboy."</em></p>
</blockquote>
<p>It's the sign of a publisher in desperate need of money.

I cannot see how such a platform could, given inherent limitations, be capable of doing justice to such software. :drunk:

Yep. Poor me. :sigh: Thank God for the russians, they still plan and make some very good JA2 mods, keeping THE legend alive... --> ja2.org
