Yeah umm... It's now June 30. Which - not to state the obvious - is about 45 days AFTER THIS THREAD DIED.

Well, judging from Fallout 2, Arcanum, Greyhawk and Vampire, it's probably a good thing Tim Cain & buddies didn't get the Fallout license.

I guess this forum remains dead, until Bethesda releases some info about F3. They're doing wisely keeping a low profile.

I think Bethesda really does value the Fallout license. From Bethsoft's perspective, the possibility of such a well-known and respected franchise becoming something of a flagship for them must be appealing. Anyway, why would they acquire rights to the francise if they weren't gonna make the damn game?

Don't be so gullible. They also bought the action game rights for the well-respected Pirate of the Caribbean franchise. If Fallout franchise is so valuable, how come the latest two edtitions were total crap? Maybe they'll try broaden the fanbase this time; we all know what that sentence means. It's the dollars that count, not happy fans.

I have to agree with Franz and don't see that as gullibility. From what all i've read they've said that they have been talking internally about it for years. This tells me they have a genuine interest in doing it right. That could just be a flat out lie but even if it was it would be a flat out lie for the sole purpose of appeasing us, the Fallout fanbase. So even if they are throwing shit in our face they are doing it with the kindest of intentions. Although I don't see any reason for them to lie.
