Harry Knowles is a fat jackass, but he for some
reason is well known in
the movie industry. All of the reviews at <a target="_blank" href="http://aintitcoolnews.com/">Ain't It Cool
News</a> tend to
avoid making a bit of sense by padding them with long winded
melodramatic bullshit. In any rate, the <a target="_blank" href="http://aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=20544">Land of the Dead review</a> boils

I read Land is supposed to be good. Really good. So go see it tomorrow
and tell me why it isn't.

I saw it and it wasn't very good. It was boring and uninteresting, not action packed like you would think. The new zombie thing is that they can use logic and crap. They share the zombie side of the story(lol) and try to make some emotional parts.

Dawn of the Dead was better.

Who the hell wants to see an "emotional" or "melodramatic" side to a fucking zombie movie? When I go to see a zombie movie i want to see 3 things:
- Tits
- Zombies
- gore
and possibly
- a chainsaw

I mean, seriously, why fuck up a winning formula?

All of those things were in LotD! Although, I can't be entirely sure about the chainsaw. There was, however, a jackhammer.

It's not crucial, but it would definitley be a bonus.

Let me clarify, KoC, when I see a zombie I want to see those 3-4 things and those only. Nobody goes to see a zombie movie with the hopes it will present thoughtful questions and mediations upon life, philosophy, or drama. People just want to see tits and gore. So like I said, why fuck up something oh so grand?

Sounds like house of the dead would be right up your alley ... all the Romero zombieflicks have had more depth to them than tits and gore, and he started the genre ffs. What zombieflicks contain mostly gore and tits btw? The living dead movies perhaps but those are parodies at best.

Zombie Lake is basically all tits and gore. At one point, a girl's basketball team goes swimming in a lake, nake of course, and you get views from every angle possible before mayhem ensues.
