How about we make it random? Every time you post in the Wasteland, there's a 50% chance you'll get credited with a post, a 40% chance nothing will happen and a 10% chance you'll lose a number in your post count?
For all you smart people who want to know your real count though, click on the little profile button below your post. Click the "Find all posts by this user" link and read the bit up the top where it says "Search found 7994 matches" and compare that to your current count. Subtract your post count from the matches found (7994 - 7263) and the result should, at least theoretically, be the number of posts you've made in The Wasteland (731 for Susan).
Hrmm... You get a negative number if you do that little trick for Megatron though. I'm guessing he's posted thousands of posts in forums which have since been deleted (Wasteland Mk I?).
