I'm reading the Flashman books by George Macdonald Fraser which are tremendous. It's not a superhero or anything as you might think. It's actually largely humourous novels that present a take on the various calamitous events of the 19th century British empire through the eyes of a fictional character, Harry Flashman. Highly recommended, I give it 4 sugarless gum sticks out of 5.

The only thing I know by the name of "Strange Brew" was recorded by Cream.

Reading Lomachinsky's stories right now. He used to be a medical examiner for Justice Department in Russia, then moved to United States. Right now he's in Iraq as a civil contractor (as a doctor, if I'm not mistaken) working with the Army. Some crazy shit, both from his old days and from Iraq. Like, about a jet pilot whose brain boiled and exploded under extremely low pressure, his eyes boiled, and his arms were cut right off by an air stream. Or the one about a man killed and cut into pieces by a waterjet cannon used to clean the tunnel in subway construction.

That was one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen.

Hey.. just finished reading that book by Umberto Eco. I have actually liked it, it's really well written, especially the part where Adso makes love to a girl. Now reading Foucault's Pendulum by the same genius.
