The original Xbox has entertained me sufficiently, so when I have the money I will get the 360.

I probably wont get any new console for like the first time evar. Unless all the Pc games i wanted come out for xbox360 first then I might get one or if the other consoles have one hell of a stellar lineup. Which I am not seeing now.

Last console I had was 8-bit chinese knock-off. That was in Russia. Twenty years ago.

Xbox 360 has 2 USB ports on the front, and one on the back, so it's certainly possible for game developers to include support for a mouse & keyboard.

I think the SNES had a mouse. That's not the point. The games are being designed for gamepads because that's what people have on consoles.

And also, even if you did have a mouse and keyboard, it would be pretty unwieldy to use on a couch. Unless you had some sort of coffee table, but even then you'd have to lean over and put yourself in an uncomfortable position.

One fo my friends already has one, it was promotional, his dad got it so that his company would sell them in SA, he also got like 20 psp's the thing with the xbox is that the games look like pc games just with much better textures, unfortunatley the only playble thing he got was like a 10min demo of perfect dark, i would rather has a ps3 than a crappy xbox, from what i have seen and the difference between ps2 and pc at the time of ps2 release i think ps3 could very well look as good as the previews, but then again who wants to play an fps with a controller, it ruined halo, i don't want it to fuck killzone up.
