I don't know about the age of the meat, but like lamb hits the spot pretty well.Blargh wrote:'Tis rather like lamb when young. Flesh from older donors tends to become both strong and rather gamey. Or so I have found. Poor marsupials.
I hate lamb... gimme pork and cow! And loads of it!
For the love of fucking god, not *this* discussion again..DarkUnderlord wrote:
We may have to do something about these smilies. Possibly remove them.

That is more than the population of Australia. There's plenty of meat in Australia. If they run out of kangaroo meat they can always hunt crocodiles, koalas, aboriginals and opossums. I imagine kangaroo meat is rather gummy, thank god they don't sell russian sausages here.article wrote:... the nation's 35 million kangaroos ...
opossums? I know Australia is marsupial-land, but what the fuck areVasikkA wrote:That is more than the population of Australia. There's plenty of meat in Australia. opossums (" 'possums" here) doing in my backyard on the US east coast?
Dem's truly mi-gray-tory!
(Or just really ancient.)
An opossum is the opposite of a possum. Sort of like how antipasto is the opposite of pasta.Redeye wrote: opossums? I know Australia is marsupial-land, but what the fuck are

Also, if an opossum and possum touch, the reaction destroys all the matter around them.

This may explain pole-shifting.

Fixed, I shall have to try combining the two at some point.Retlaw83 wrote:Also, if an opossum and possum touch, the reaction destroys everything.
Incidentally, have you ever been to Opossum Bay in Tasmania ? There, the possums fuck opossums and make jelly fish.
For those of us unfamiliar with jelly fish, visualise a quantity of plastic wrap filled with ejaculate. Now, imagine such between one's toes. That, is a jelly fish. Poor fucking jelly fish.

Can't remember that. I do recall arguing against the new forums and having avatars though...Dan wrote:What? DU against the smileys? You were like their biggest supporter ever.
It was, what, only 3-4 years ago, when NMA had that DC forum where you said "Hey, hands of the emoticons"?
Maybe I should remove them over here at DAC.
Yes, remove the avatars.DarkUnderlord wrote:Can't remember that. I do recall arguing against the new forums and having avatars though...Dan wrote:What? DU against the smileys? You were like their biggest supporter ever.

My moving-eye cylon gif won't fit, so nobody should get theirs, either.
Well, make it smaller then!Redeye wrote:My moving-eye cylon gif won't fit
Avatars serve as quick identification instead of searching the author in the custom title/rank jungle, don't remove them. Instead, signature size should be limited. There's nothing I hate more than signatures with stupid irc quotes and images that fill 1/2 of my screen. Luckily, that aint so bad here as in other forums.
I agree, and though my preferred avatar was small in screen area,VasikkA wrote:Well, make it smaller then!Redeye wrote:My moving-eye cylon gif won't fit

at 300+kb the file was far too large. I cropped it, reduced the number of frames, lowered the number of colours, and it was reduced to about 83kb.
The limit appears to be 39kb, but I have seen larger files by clicking on
the properties of various avatars. Maybe it is a new guy limit.
Damn, anybody here know gif voodoo?
I suppose I could just have the one-way red-dot cylon sweep, and
then repeat the same frames backwards to cut the file in half.
I don't know if the "gif AI" is smart enough to not make extra copies
of the frames and instead just run them backwards/forwards/backwards/etc.
Is there way to control that manually?
Last resort is to remove the cylon head and its background and just
have the red dot floating by itself in space. Maybe that would also
be the coolest option.
Ideas please.
