Visual Effects Reel

[ Film & TV -> Images ]

Today, Post Apocalyptic Media posted a very nice reel of special effects from the Vancouver Film School wich includes (what appears to be) their rendition of a Fallout-Style soldier in Power Armor (actually, the PA looks almost identical to that of Fallout).

Any ways, it all looks really cool and it makes me think... If Bethesda ccould conjour up images like this for a 3D Fallout 3, would I enjoy it? Bet yer ass I would... Well, as long as the game play was as equally impressive.

Spotted @ Post Apocalyptic Media

That's pretty freaking cool. It's definitely Fallout power armor, as evidenced by the Brotherhood of Steel insignia on the shoulder (you can see it quite plainly in the Soldier Rotation part of the clip).

The artwork for "After the bomb book 6: Mutants in Orbit" is identical to that on a binder I had when I was in elementary school. Incidentially the release date, 1994, is about the right time. As for the picture, it was cool.
I miss the good ol' USSA.

Well, I have to say that I'm glad the Brotherhood of Steel works so diligently to protect the heroin addicts of Vancouver's Skid Row.

Wacky doo! Nice set of armour. OMG FPS BOS VIEW!!1!!1!11oneoneonoentwothreeexclamationmark

Pity about the cheesy UFO attack music.

That model of power armour is the best I've seen though. Wonder how long it took him to make it?

That's an aboslute gem of a movie.

Kudos for finding it.

I would've liked more closeup's of the soldier though =/ Would be nice to see more of the details.

Very skillfully made animation. However, I don't know if the Power Armor has an in-built visual computer like in Robocop. That wouldn't be very retro.

Those UFOs look like they're from SimCity.

Nice Power Armor there. We need a fallout movie with that (so hollywood can rape it to death by using clichés).

No we don't. And frankly, I thought it would be bulkier, and a bit on the wide side.

Heh, the UFO's are from Mars Attacks.

I agree, the PA looks sweet, but it seems the body should have been bulked up a little to match the helmet a bit better :/
I miss the good ol' USSA.
