I do hope that you manage to realize the immense stupidity in what you just said.
Care to enlighten me?
Being consoles'll not magically make their hardware better than the one availible to PC's.
Could this smoothness have anything to do with low res, shitty graphs and static hardware configurations?
I think the games on my PS2 look great considering how old a machine it is. And the way developers utilizes its potential makes it worth gold.
I'm talking about God f War and Grand Turismo 4 though, since I don't own any other "new" games.
Of course I have a standard 32" TV and not an LCD.
Proper tweaking of your hardware to its potential, for each and every game you have, every time you play, will of course get you better results I agree with that.
But if you can't get the maximum potential from your machine, wtf is the point of having a bazillion GHz's and quadruple GFX' and a cellar-full of RAM?
Don't get me wrong though, I don't like consoles *better* than PC's because they have different uses for me.
I use my PS2 to kick back and relax at, my PC is mostly a workstation.

The only thing that makes them superior is that developers know EXACTLY what hardware to write the game for.
Which make them run better...
It shows that you don't know crap about emulation. It's very difficult to emulate anything without using a lot of resources. You need a much better machine than the one you are trying to emulate.
I haven't tried building an Emulator so no, you're right. I don't know *much* about it, but I do know that there doesn't exist one.
But if our PC's are that much better today, then why can't my machine (Which is close to a high-ender) run them already?
Heh, the next gen consoles already are behind your top-of-the-line PC, and they haven't even hit the market.
Bullshit. The next few months, tops. People were saying this same BS when the Xbox and PS2 came out and PCs caught up with those very, very quickly.
Let me rephrase this... consoles may not have the same numbers, but they don't have to either. They're not running WinME or XP-Home in the background, trying to use drivers which aren't properly updated, or buggy, or otherwise lacking.
In effect: A better machine for getting frames and now when the nextgen consoles arrive, better physics.
