Because it sucks. At least Morrowind had some redeeming values.

You know the scrolls that give you insane jumping abilities, the ones that litterally make you fly?

Those are a great way of travelling like what you describe =)

Of course you'd have to set view distance very high.

Also, in bloodmoon when you're a werewolf, you can jump through the forest at insane speed, and see the trees whip by you 5 or 10 at a time.
Only problem is that the areas load so fast that you barely go three jumps before you stall a few seconds waiting for the next area...

Needless to say you need to have a high-level character to survive the fall, and have that extra speed that makes the werewolf truly fast.

I used to have a wizard who could actually cast the super-jump spell... sans scroll.

Never did create a wizard.. I always end up making north warriors.

But I did create a warrior who could carry the bigass hammer from tribunal, and actually use it.

Here's the question... is that your problem, or your crappy computer's problem? I'd say both.

That was true for my new machine as well, until I updated my chipset. Everything runs smooth now.

My card is an Nvidia 6600GT 128MB..
It's a mid-range card now... What do you have since your machine is slightly uber and can't run it properly?

I can't say myself I had any problems. I used to run it with my Radeon 8500LE, though not at the best settings.

My new X800 does the job though D:

strange. Should run fine.
I mean, I have a 3.2 P4 and 1.5GB of RAM, but that shouldn't do any difference. (Not running Dual, I should get around to doing that..)

Do you have problems in other games? Not completely satisfied with the performance?

Might be your AGP GART, if you are using AGP and not PCIe of course..

anyway, try updating your chipset/motherboard.
Typically you can find them on Intels page..... but of course that depends on your MB.

I'm not updating anything. I've gone completely batshit and decided that I've had it with these expensive upgrades and the headaches they bring.

Also, I don't play enough new games to justify the price tag.
