<strong>[ Community -> Images ]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... title=Duck and Cover">Community: Duck and Cover</a>

<p>Even though a certain unnamed game will never materialize, it's
still
cool to get updates and new pictures from Chernobyl and the surrounding
town of Pripyat. Earlier this summer the <strong>New York
Times</strong> <a href="http://www.janikarvonen.com/digicam/10- ... ournal.jpg" target="_blank">took a trip</a> to the area. Thanks to
<strong>VasikkA</strong> in <a href="http://www.duckandcover.cx/forums/viewt ... 591#257591" target="_blank">our forums</a>, we now have access to four
extensive picture galleries for your viewing
pleasure.</p><ul><li> <a href="http://random.gfxile.net/chernobyl/main ... r=./photos" target="_blank">Gallery 1</a></li><li> <a href="http://peeba.gfxile.net/galleries/index ... /Chernobyl" target="_blank">Gallery 2</a></li><li>
<a href="http://www.digipaul.com/album/thumbnails.php?album=38" target="_blank">Gallery 3</a></li><li> <a href="http://www.janikarvonen.com/digicam/10- ... 5_Ukraine/" target="_blank">Gallery 4</a></li></ul><p> </p><p>Tons of good reference material in there, if you are so inclined.

That's pretty tight. That first gallery had a photo with a description of "schoolgrades for dissassembling and assembling rifles." Why can't I teach that?

It was actually a Finnish tourist group who did the trip and NY Times reported about it. Nevertheless, it looks like a unique vacation destination and not just for post-apoc freaks. :rolleyes:

Chernobyl is not in Poland. And it weasn't cows' brains, but monkeys, and it was in South America - waaay on the left. And then little down.

Aside from that, everything's fine.

I'd rather sleep in the reactor than in Poland. But DAC going on a trip to Chernobyl would be something quite awesome.
