Soylent Green, The New Shade Of Sexy?

Post by Europa13 »

<strong>[ Company -> Article ]</strong>

<p>If we look back to a few of our most beloved PA films (<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070723/" target="_self">Soylent Green</a> for one), we&rsquo;ll see that before the final collapse, while still in it&rsquo;s death throws, the moral fiber which held society together began to come apart at the seams. Big business became more and more sadistic and the same could be said for the consumer &hellip; So; today we&rsquo;ll take a look at a major Chinese cosmetics company and see how they&rsquo;re doing their part to push us closer towards that <a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/china/story/0 ... 22,00.html" target="_self">fine line</a>&hellip; </p><blockquote dir="ltr" style="margin-right: 0px"><p><em>&ldquo;A Chinese cosmetics company is using skin harvested from the corpses of executed convicts to develop beauty products for sale in Europe, an investigation by the Guardian has discovered. </em></p><em><p>
Agents for the firm have told would-be customers it is developing collagen for lip and wrinkle treatments from skin taken from prisoners after they have been shot. The agents say some of the company's products have been exported to the UK, and that the use of skin from condemned convicts is "traditional" and nothing to "make such a big fuss about".&rdquo;
</p></em></blockquote><p>Can&rsquo;t you see, you&rsquo;re painting your lips with dead people! &ldquo;O honey, calm down, it&rsquo;s all natural and it brings out the blue in my eyes!&rdquo; Yes, indeed, what a sad state this world is in. Of course, it&rsquo;s no worse than China <a href="http://archives.cnn.com/2001/WORLD/asia ... ina.organ/" target="_self">harvesting the organs</a> from it&rsquo;s executed prisoners to place into those who need said organ.</p><p>Spotted @ <a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk">Guardian Unlimited</a></p>

Waste not want not. In all honesty, I would rather society sated a desire for vanity at the expense of humans, rather than other species. China's penal system is known for being surprisingly enlightened, i.e harvesting the organs of prisoners, recycling the flesh of the dead into sustenance for the remaining incarcerated sods, siphoning naturally occurring, useful (for pharmaceutical/military/research/et al purposes) chemicals from prisoners by way of invasive, painful, dangerous implants and so on. Why stop at such deplorable activities ? If you intend to kill someone, you may as well find as many applications for the remains as possible. It isn't as though they have much need for them anymore. And I'm sure that wherever they are, they will get an incorporeal 'warm and fuzzy' sensation for their generosity.

I think it would be wonderful if more were done to introduce such practices into the penal systems of the world. Frankly, it is inhumane to let China have all the fun and all the benefits !

On a lighter note, I do love their use of 'traditional'.

'WHY SALLY, INJECTING THE DISSOLVED BONE MARROW OF ROTTING, DEFILED ELEPHANTS INTO YOUR EYES AT EXACTLY MIDNIGHT IS A TRADITIONAL ANTI-AGING TREATMENT FROM DARKEST BORNEO !!!

. . .

AND IT'S ON SALE !!

Heh. It would be cool if one of the harvested organs from a convict was haunted. Then it would posess soe normal person and kill all of the people who testified against said convict. But anyways

Well, I can promise you that a lot of these prisoners were not rapists, murders, etc... Instead, I would bet that a large % were executed for speaking their mind, or leading revolts, or speaking out against their government, or maybe simply spitting on the sidewalk?

All the more reason to have them contribute positively to society and become something useful, such as human guinea pigs, chemical farms or fertiliser ! They're wasting their lives on trivial things, they’re wasting the time of others through their mere default existence ! They must be made to account for what they do not do ! Why should they benefit from (for example) a heart that sees no worthwhile use, when countless young children, children who may yet become productive, malleable, unthinking and therefore valuable members of society, lie stricken and eventually die most woefully for want of a healthy heart ? Hack away, I say ! Why, if they cannot even commit a proper crime, a crime worthy of valuable prison resources, resources that are as I write ! being squandered on self-absorbed whingers ; they don't deserve anything more than being torn open without anaesthesia and being thoroughly pillaged of any and all viable parts for the greater good ! Let a person make use of what these craven dogs fail to appreciate ! Larcenous featherweights, I say !

I despair that something as natural as murder has become so apparently difficult for these pathetic wastrels !

I salute the men and women of China's penal system, for having the integrity to do the right thing. :drunk:

Well, as long as the prisoners are executed for their crimes and not for their precious bodily fluids, I don't see that as a problem. But that's because I lack moral fiber... :cry:

Flenh, untill we start harvesting the organs of jay-walkers I could care less.
The words "Organ Bank" do not instill nearly enough fear in people.

Perhaps even a Slack bank. Yeah, that's what they're really after.

I'm reminded of the Hive in Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri:

Considering that the Chinese diet is largely made up of rice and probably lacking in iron, it's unfortunate that they're still wasting good meat.
