I dunno. As far as the general quality of the game, I'm confident but I'll make my pre-judgement after I've played Oblivion. As far as getting the Fallout liscense right, that's the hard part. While Bethesda seems dedicated to making a worthy successor to the other games, that's easier said then done. Personally, I'm open-minded to changes in gameplay, but in story and "feel" it needs to be a Fallout game. One of the biggest challenges for Bethesda is sorting out issues with the Fallout canon that arose occasionally in Fallout 2 and much more often in FOT.

I'm hoping they set the game in a new area (such as Canada/Alaska) or the East Coast. That'll give them more creative freedom and prevent them from making too many mistakes. I suppose another West Coast game MIGHT work out, but we'd have to wait and see. They should definatly stay the hell away from the Mid-West, though, unless they want to decide which aspects of FOT were "canon" and which weren't.

Wrong forum to bring this topic up on. Or at least wrong time. I'd say the majority of people on here who played Daggerfall dug it but i'd also say the vast majority of people on here who played Morrowind feel that FO3 is doomed. Oblivion is going to be the make or break vote and discussing the issue before it's release isn't going to result in much. But then again if you don't want the full on shit throwing of the RPG Codex or the fellatio of the TES forums I guess DaC is a reasonable middleground. (still though, no matter where you post, until release it is only going to amount to a pile of shit)

When I realized she wasnt a lass.
So I ripped off his dong,
and strangled teh lad with his thong.

Bethsoft prolly could do FO3 well.
If they want to.

However I think their derfinition of a good rpg is a tad warped.
So it'll be shit.

It'll be good, but not close at all to what each of us would like it to be.

I think it good that we are actually getting a FO3, since pretty much all of us have faced that fact that FO3 will probably never get made, this should be a pleasent surprise. Even if its not as good as the other 2, atleast someone is attempting to make it better in the same viiene of the first 2. This isn;t going to be the console BOS or fo:tactics, despite them maybe changing the combat system.

Compared to some of the overhyped shit put out recently I imagine it will at least have more storyline. Otherwise they might have a hard time justifying to even themselves that it is worthy of carrying the namesake.

FOPOS made me sad.

Well Fallout as in the original Fallout is dead. It has been dead. Bethesda will do a good job and no it will not be Morrowind with guns but it will not be even near the original one either.

'sniff sniff'

You guys smell that? That's right, it's:

The rotting corpse of any hope of a worthy Fallout 3. It died years ago, after Feargus took charge of Fallout 2.

Beside it:

Van-fucking-Buren. It's fairly ripe itself.

Wouldn't you know it, right next to VB:

A steaming pile of FO:POS.

Bethsoft will make it well, it just won't be Fallout. It'll be well put together, look pretty, have a great story and have remarkable replayability, but it won't be Fallout. It'll be Mad Max meets Morrowind.....In other words, it'll be Tomb Raider with more leather and some radiation.

I NOTICED IT FIRST

And about the Fallout 3...

I don't think so.

But yes.

So, basically...

They sure can pull out a decent game, I guess. But many people here won't consider it Fallout. Fuck, they didn't consider Fallout 2 a Fallout, so FO3 has no chance, no way, kthxbye. FEGITS

So yeah, I have no idea :drunk:
Serious Business.
