Not gonna bother. I enjoyed Call of Duty and the United Offensive expansion once through. There's no reason to believe this will be anything more than the previous game's overly scripted and short (although moderately entertaining) singleplayer campaign with insanely higher system requirements.

I'll post my impressions maybe next year when I might have a new computer to properly run such system hogs as CoD2, Oblivion, FEAR, and whatever else is in the bargain bin at the time.

CoD was pretty good, but when I heard that CoD2 was going to be another WW2 FPS, I've decided to ignore it. People need to concentrate on fantasy-killing sand swell guy, and if you ask me the FPS department is sorely lacking good games with this precious feature...

Fantasy-killing sand swell guy.
How delightful.

THIS would be a proper FoT mod.
Use the film Navy Seals as the starting premise...
Beirut 1980s. Yeah.
And get the Cure song Killing An Arab as menu screen and
intro movie music.

I'd love an FPS set in the 80s.

I thought it was stupid. You basically run through some alleys and flank the enemy positions, everytime. There is no choice either, you are pretty much forced to take only one path. I'm guessing the first one was like this too.

Whats the point of having soldier names if pretty much all of them get slaughtered in a short amount of time

Well, they has apparently changed the game so you fairly can choose your own path towards a target. put even if you is forced to play within some limits, the game isnt about running around in wide forests - more about how shitty it was in ww2. you didnt have that luxuary to choose much of a path in a enemy town that is under heavy airstrikes. i should know, i was there. im the one who got the ironcross by hitler himself!

And for what i saw, i shot atleast 2 concoids..

Never played CoD1, but this game seems like it sure as hell likes holding the player's hand. You've got indicators for direction of fire, grenades thrown near you, and even a fucking radar (?). Not to mention that you basically have infinite health, so long as you don't stay in the line of fire for 5 straight seconds :? . I might still buy the game if I had some indication it got harder later on, though.
