<strong>[ Mod -> Update ]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... ?title=Fan Made Fallout">Mod: Fan Made Fallout</a>

<p><a href="http://www.fanmadefallout.com/" target="_self"> Fan Made Fallout</a>
have had another update. This time, instead of pretty pictures or
sound, they've got some words strung together to form paragraphs:

</p>
<blockquote></blockquote>
<p>
</p><blockquote><span class="postbody">Strange. The bombs are flying now, it seems like
they've been flying for weeks. One by one the lights on the switchboard
are going dead: scratch DC, scratch LA, we can't be too much further
down the list. There are probably riots spitside; there must be. The
scenario would be incomplete without them, without the headless
screaming and the last-chance violence. When all the screaming stops,
we'll say it's over.
</span>

<span class="postbody">
</span>

<span class="postbody">Strange, though, down here. We laughed about it, huddled around one
table in an empty cafeteria, sharing one dim red bulb and the last of
the real food. We shivered and laughed and promised each other that
when they started to drop we'd be up there, drunk and dancing in the
sunshine, naked and free, waiting for the almighty axe to descend. It
sounds so stupid, but I think we really believed it. That somehow this
mounting dread would just bottom out, that we'd burst from all the
waiting and the fear, our sides would split and we'd all just be happy,
happy just being alive and knowing that it can&rsquo;t last.
</span>

<span class="postbody">
</span>

<span class="postbody">It's quiet now down here in the workshop, nobody wants to talk.
Eyes keep moving, but there's no connection any more. Nobody dares an
expression. I'm writing so I don't have to look at them. We're all
waiting to die. But why are we waiting? It's up there, why can't we
meet it half-way? Do we really want to wait and see? Why can't we do
this?
</span>

<span class="postbody">
</span>

<span class="postbody">
I suppose we're only animals. Like the rats and shrews that outlived the dinosaurs, we're only keeping our heads down.
</span>

<span class="postbody">
</span>

<span class="postbody">The others are heading downstairs to the lab. They say it's safer
down there, but I don't know if I want to follow them. They know as
well as I do we&rsquo;ll only prolong what's coming. I want to see the sky
again.</span></blockquote>
<p> </p><p>They also talk about re-structuring the team to work more
effectively and ask for more people to help out to replace some members
who have left. Be sure to <a href="http://www.fanmadefallout.com/" target="_self">check them out</a>.

I thought it should've come out by now. That's a nice organisation structure, but it doesn't sound like people are committed to this project.

A noble objective, but it bugs me why nearly every mod wants to have a OMG intro movie. Nobody really cares about the intro movie. Anyway, I hope the making of this intro movie doesn't reduce the efforts put on the rest of the game.

Good luck, still. It looks interesting.

But the making of shitty mods is mandatory for the making of stupid movies. How's that?

I belive we can all agree on the fact that a video game autimaticaly translates into an awesome movie. I'm talking about great classics such as Doom, House of the Dead, Street Fighter, and the highly anticipated Dungeon Siege. But if its just an intro movie we'll stop being the proverbial monkey on your back.

And yes, to the great dissapointment of all, I still live

Shit, you're so fucking stupid, Nick. We're not talking about fucking Hollywood movies, but about 3D introduction movies to video games, fuck.

She actually works in my office, but I've become quite a master at hidding DAC from her and from my boss.

And no, not bad day at my office, since at 8:26am my day had only started 26 minutes earlier D:

Since the team is organized so that the artists are producing art and the writers are developing the actual game (coming up with ideas for quests, writing dialogue etc.), what one part of the team is doing is unlikely to slow down the other. So if our artists make a movie instead of some inventory items, that doesn't affect how fast the writers can work.

Oh, and people are still working on the project. In fact, people are more active now than ever before. I assure you that FMF will be released. It's a slow process, but it's very much alive.

Actually, the deadline is in less than 2 years from now, so that's a silly thing to say...

Don't listen to these lies. We've suspended all work on everything until our whizz bang movie is made. The movie is far more important than some silly dialogue. Anyone can write dialogue.
