I've noticed a lot of new registered members in DAC forums during the last month. They all have a what looks like random name followed by a number. Their personal info has a homepage linking to some unknown website(usually russian). This seems too much of a coincidence to be normal. I think they are some sort of ghost accounts with some evil capitalistic purpose. Or is it a sneaky plan to gain as many members as in NMA forums?

You can check yourself:

(members -> Joined date -> Descending)

Just thought you might want to know.

I thought the same thing today and a week ago. But we can't really do anything, maybe those number confirmations if it's a problem? I don't think it is anyway.

Let's just ban everyone with Russian hostname, and make the real people send personal emails to admins so that we'll know that they aren't bots... ok?

We could enable the visual confirmation mod but that means modding each of the forum templates and that's work.
