Something missing from the Fallout universe.

I remember watching some documentaries about flying cars.

One of the highlights of it was a promise made by a car vendor (GM I think) in the 50s (might of been before or a bit later for that matter, all I remember is that the car in the commercial looked somewhat like the highwayman

) that by the year 2000, they would have developed flying cars for everyone.

Now seeing FO in the 50's sci-fi pop culture references, it would of made much more sense to see some flying car (wreckage) here and about, then say, a vertibird...

Can't you get hover plates for your car in FO2?
Perhaps that suggests there were flying cars before the war.

Maybe the war just destroyed most of them.

Grav plates would have made it a hover car, not quite the same thing as the freedom of jetting from here to there in a flying car. They could have fit the atmosphere, but I'm glad they didn't include them. I for one always wanted a Corvega. Yeah!

Sodding regular car caused me enough problems before the patch, the coders would really have been buggered with the complex concept of a car that can hover on command...

Um, no, I dind't want the Highwayman to hover. No Way... Way I figure with FO's storyline and the fuel consumption being so high, they would of been only powered by fuel cells, and thus it wouldn't of been the "flying cars for everyone" dream, but you should of been able to find a few.

I'm not saying either that the NPC should find a working one. I'm just saying there should be some around the place for you to look at and admire
