I would certainly like to try Gmod some day, however that day would
also have to include a way to play half life 2 mods without fucking steam.

I used it for a while to establish a virtual kamasutra by arranging the models in such a way that the composition resembled a certain sexual position. Once completed, I would beat off to it, logically. That chick from the game is HOT

I know this thread is dead but I'm getting into Garry's mod, there are a helluva lotta awesome things you can add in, mostly made by people or imported from other games. I'm still looking for any fallout models, but no such luck. Even so, virtually any game (not including one from Xbox 360 or PS3) can have models extracted from it, which can then be hexed, ragdolled and whatever, so they can later be used in the mod, or even put into other people's mods. Not only that, but any Source games, and other games on the pain-in-the-ass Steam system, like Counterstrike, Bioshock, Portal, and Team Fortress 2, are apparently easy to rip and add in.

Solid Snake
Metal Gear REX & RAY
Call of Duty 4 SAS
The Halo 3 Gravity Hammer
Numerous Weapon Packs
AVP 2 Alien model

The list goes on for days, and there doesn't really seem to be any end to the possibilities. As far as I've seen in earlier posts on this thread, I know you guys aren't really into Half-Life; but if you're changing the shit out of it, it really isn't that much of Half-Life anymore.

In any case, It's worth a look if you guys have the patience. If not, well... fuck it, I tried.

I'm picking up orange box tomorrow, Might give garys mod a chance. The Zombie multiplayer games look pretty good. Still though, I Just wana get garry's Mod for the chance to hang that bastard Clienier By the neck.

Don't mistake me for some myg0t OH SHIT I HEAR THE ICE CREAM TRUCK!!!!!111!1111oneone, but garrys mod is actually really fun for griefing; think about it: no mute button, and if you download the cobine props mod you can just spam those huge pod array things while spamming over HLSS to make the server crash.

GMOD is awesome. I put so many sweps, mods, models, etc. etc. etc. in my GMOD that I can't play it any more. Gotta reinstall it some day.

Also, Facepunch Studios forum is really fun sometimes.

It's such a pain in the ass to make a single-player mod, as I found out recently... took me six hours to realize I needed Microsoft Visual Studios in order to get shit done. That's fucked up.
