Make a single sticky called "Official Oblibaboon Topic LOLZOHNOEZ!" and ban any asshole who posts outside it. I really dig the place, but lately it's been worse than when Fobos was in development.Spazmo wrote:Most of those topics are pointless arguments about Oblivion because there's a handful of braindead Bethesda fanboys who've decided to convince us that it'll be the bestest game ever.

I totally agree. Well, maybe not the banning part. That's not the way it works there.
But yeah, it's way annoying to have to sift through all the Oblivion threads just to find the decent ones about other games. Shit, even the hentai threads are more interesting. All the Ob talk has just drawn more ESF morons there who think that the Codex is another Elder Scrolls fan site. And it's hard to prove them wrong when you look at the topic list.

The moderating policy at RPG Codex is pretty much hands off. People can post whatever they want. And hell, if there's so many Oblivion topics that are that popular, then obviously people want to discuss it. Me, I just filed the game under "turd" in my mind, but if our readers feel like it needs more discussion, that's their thing.
