'sz' is pronounced like English 'sh' and 'cz' like 'ch' as in "much"
so saying '-szcz' would be like saying '-sh-ch', which is very much like saying '-st' (as in "must") but your tongue's a lil' more retracted.
altogether, Bydgoszcz spelled so that read in English it more or less resembles the original, would be something like bid-goh-shch (I put an 'h' after 'o' so that you make a clearer 'o' rather than an 'ou'/'eu' diphtong). There

They died in the mid-50's. Parents of my Great grandparents (from 1913) who in turn were the parents of my Grandmother (1932). American Indian, yes. My grandmother and mother look strikingly similar to her. Somehow the genes for dark skin and the general "indian" look completely skipped my red-haired, gray eyed ass.
