I agree, but I doubt he could do much about it himself; the news being kind of scarce.

But I still miss the frequent news posts about NMA being dicks and stuff.

People shouldn't expect so much from a Fallout fan site. And that's what DAC is at heart. Without much of a game to report on (FO3) things should remain laid back. I think we can look and be proud for not descending to the low levels of a Van Buren carrion eater or becoming the next Oblivion Codex.

I would like to have seen a new site design by now. But you know what, it really isn't all that necessary today. What's the rush to do anything? So we can burn out before there's any real work to do? Wait a year or however long it takes until Fallout 3 is revealed, then light the fires.

if you need to look at some of the older designs (IE the one before this one (I think it was a grey scale dealie, or the RPGPlanet designs)

Ah, the design is just fine.

Most of us probably don't even go through the main page though, I think? I have the forum in my bookmarks and that's it, I hardly ever visit the main page as the news are also on the forums, and most of the content the site has, I've had enough time in last few years to sift through it.

I think it needs to change but take your time with it. I also think the Vault Dweller walking away is a staple image of DAC. Don't let it fade out of the design/logo.

take your time, remember the orange, wait for some concept art from BugSoft and have a grand reopening party

From what I've seen there are some designs kicking about.
And also due to the template system, multiple frontpage designs which you can switch between is something very possible. DU has a template system that people who know how to code can mess about with and come up with working designs at http://www.duckandcover.cx/system/templ ... c/main.tpl (right click, save as).

yea I hear Obsydian is good at doing designs and stuff, but I'd only go for more templates to choose from, and not replacing the default frontpage.
Anyway, there were some templates in the making, am I wrong? I guess at least one from St Toxic, but perhaps some more..

And Obsydian is on board now, working to roll out the new designs. He's hopefully going to be a huge help.
