Fallout 3: not at E3 this year

Pete Hines has done a <a href="http://www.gamingsteve.com/podcasts/Gam ... -02-20.mp3" target="_self">massive audio interview</a> over at grooving hipsters' site <a href="http://www.gamingsteve.com" target="_self">Gaming Steve</a>.
The part of interest to us is near the end of the interview, at 71:30,
where Pete says they won't be showcasing Fallout 3 at E3 this year.He
also mentions that they plan to make another Elder Scrolls game within
this current console cycle. So that means... well, within 2 or 3 years.
And one can assume they'll have Fallout 3 done before they start
working on the next Elder Scrolls games seriously, just as they're
doing with Fallout 3 waiting for Oblivion to finish development. This

A smart move. Releasing screenshots this early and the following uproar would be unbearable considering the remainder of the development. I'm sure they intend to withhold releasing screenshots for as long as possible.

I don't want to listen to the whole interview... did he reveal any smut regarding Oblivion?

They're hoping we'll all be dead within by 2007. They may be right.

BTW, wouldn't the current console cycle include the 360? That would mean at least 5 years, rather than 2 or 3.

We'll see. I'm not a fanboy but I'm also not going to pass judgement til I know more about the game. I'd like to say I play FO1 and 2 every day, but truth is I haven't loaded them up in years, despite them being great (though I am considering playing PS:T again).

As for this current console cycle, maybe it's 5 years. I don't really pay much attention to them, though I thought the Xbox has only been out for like 3 months or something before MS released the 360.

I guess this is sort of good news. I don't have any money right now, so I wouldn't have been able to head over to the west coast and sneak into E3 anyways. You guys should really think about donating to DAC so I can go next year

I will be the main character, an immortal, and I will go about beheading Cylons and game devs in my quest for Fallout 3 coverage. There will also be a flash back scene called "Fallout 3: Gecko Strikes Back" I will win multiple Academy Awards.

Yes, and I will create a half-time show during your film which will consist of a Dr. Katz style cartoon in which a psychological tape worm named Henry dishes out advice to his host, Tim while Tim is on the crapper...
