So howabout them games? I'm looking for decent ones to play.

Discuss anything from Age of Empires to Wasteland. Any gaming talk that isn't Fallout-related goes here.

Fate of Atlantis is pretty good. KOTOR is meh, it's enjoyable, just your typical bioware game.

Without knowing your tastes in entertainment, I cannot know. But I shall suggest Gothic(s), regardless.

That is all. Ehue. :drunk:

A'ight, I shall try FOA and Gothic then in a while. I don't like adventures usually, but I thought the FOA demo was pretty cool, so I'll give it a shot.

One of those wacky German manager/tycoon games? D:

Of the list I'd recommend Fate of Atlantis, not just for the fistfights or the Nazi sub.

Yeah, it seems like you are playing manager of a toilet firm, or something. And the gameplay is indeed shit. :(

Well, I got SS2 up and running. Didn't need any win2k fixes or bugcracking bonanzas, hardly even compability mode. Cutscenes won't work but who gives a rats ass. Anyone up for some coop?

In what way does it not work? What does it say? Have you applied any no-cd things or something of that sort? Is it patched like crazy?

Thats just one of the charms of SS2. There are no definite reasons to why SS2 doesn't work on some computers and it does on others, everyone experiences something differen't. Your best bet is to check the forum from the fansite of looking glass and read all the tech posts. Its practically a tech support forum for the game.

I don't think u have a hyper threaded CPU but I don't know. I think it usually has to do with that or some other hardware shit.

FAO is supposedly kickass, try to get the voiced-over CD version (and send it to me); KOTOR - nice if you dig SW.

strangely enough I've been playing SS2 for a few days when I stumbled on your post. It's my first time with SS2 if you don't count the 3 times when I started being halfway through another FPP and decided to put it aside for a better moment. Well now is the bloody moment.
I'm at level three cleaning the shaft with anti-bio-toxin or whatever, don't know what about co-op - you start a new game with a co-op or can you join me or something?

Not sure I can join ya there Pip, but we could give it a good try. What form of communication progs are you into?

EDIT: And is a restart completely out of the question?

EDIT2: And Meg, it sounds like a game data error. Corrupted files or something. Also, am I to understand that you've not applied the 2.3 patch?

I only use Polish communicator, so either suggest an international one or we can IRC #fallout maybe, but I tend to have problems joining a server.

I gotta think about a restart... on the one hand going through the game in a natural sequence enhances the experience and it's the first time I'm playing this great game, on the other hand I've never tried coop before so it's quite tempting..

I've got this patch that I didn't apply and which I guess is necessary to play coop, but it also does something to weapons and monsters - do you know what? I can't remember (something like guns degrade more quickly and no respawn for them bastards, but I might be wrong)

Farcry, I enjoyed it to an extent. However it's a little more FPS than I enjoy in my combat games. Not enough realism to be exact.

It's a fun waste of time though. I quit halfway though though.

Never played Fable, although those who don't have a problem with I-hit-you-now-you-hit-me, pseudo turn based realtime combat. Might enjoy it. I don't, period.

As for Kotor. Same shit, different pile.

I actually tried playing Gothic/2 and Gothic 1 seemed ok, Gothic 2 had really crapola animations for some reason. So I didn't like it.
