Bullfrog was pretty bueno back in the day. I still play the occasional games of Dungeon Keeper and DK2 in their honor. :salute:

Looking Glass/Ion Storm, Microprose/Firaxis, Troika, Nival, Creative Assembly, Parallax/Volition, Atomic, Origin, LucasArts...

All of them have pretty much died/turned gay at some point.

Microprose was both a developer and a publisher. Master of Orion/Master of Magic were developed by Simtex, though.

Irrelevant. For the Soldier of Fortune line alone, they deserve naught but ignominy. :drunk:

For a while it was Maxis, id software, and Westwood. Then all three started making crap, sold out, or liquidated. Today there isn't a single developer I trust or care much for.

Way back in the day I bought everything with the Interplay logo on it.

Looking Glass, now and forever.

Why is Westwood on that list? They made one good game.

I haven't really played many games from the developers in the poll. Quite a few years ago I would say Blizzard was the best but i've since changed my tastes in games I guess. I would probably say Troika was one of my favorite developers mainly because of arcanum and fallout. Irrational is pretty good, Ive been playing SWAT4 and they are quality. There are a lot of good developers but I usually don't like their games for my own reasons.

Its harder to choose good developers on the console front because each big name company has tons of little development teams working on shit. On the PC side its more independent I guess.
