Don't know about that, lad, but it sure beats playing that godawful mod for Ultima IX.

I still haven't played the game...won't be able to until I go back home to my desktop in May. Someone needs to videotape the game so I can become immersed in the radiat AI or something.

I've been through the secret passage, etc, but the chick never goes to her bed. It's always the count and the servant lizard woman...So the ring is never in the jewelry box.

Anyhow, I've got another peeve. Since I've beaten the main quest and I'm doing all the other random things, I've had to talk to a ton of NPCs..(Didn't do that much before, just with the "important" ones). Anyhow, it's really crappy how their voices change for every speech. I found one "young" woman and asked her about rumors and something else and she had a young voice that suited the character. Then I clicked the other options and all of a sudden she had an old lady voice with an obnoxious accent. There's one dude that you have to talk to a few times throughout the Thieves Guild crap that changes from "drunk Irish" to "Imperial command" in mid-sentence.

The radiant AI?

I think this sums it up pretty well...

Other great features include enemies being able to "hear" you through several tons of rock in dungeons(example; I'm standing at the entrance, and directly above me on the first floor, there are enemies. I know this since use a helm that gives me the ability t see living things within 60 foot through walls and so), and charge you from one end to the other..!

It's not all that bad. All in all, it feels like Bloodlines : unfinished.

Does it live up to its hype?

A big fat NO.

Roaming the countryside is fun for the first 30 minutes, but I'm starting to get fed up with the boring dungeons, the poorly thought-out evil path and the awful 360 interface. Aye, it's basically Morrowind with soil erosion.

The story/quests in Bloodlines are without a doubt better than in Oblivion. You could actually choose how to finish them.

And hey, remember the jackass npc's who fucked your day up? You could actually tell them to get bent, threaten them with death, hell - you had a voice beyond "Rumours". I felt more in control in Strife.

EDIT: The most fun I had with Oblivion was when I got fed up, and decided my quest would be to kill the entire population. That lasted 10 minutes - invincible fucking characters that just get "K.O"'d for a second and then go off like nothing ever happened. I was so immersed I uninstalled the game.

Exploring the mountainside was also at least a bit interesting, that is until I got to the invisible walls and the game said "You cannot go any further". That got me to step one.

I suppose bethsoft can comfort themselves with the fact that its THEIR steaming pile of shit.
other ppls shit tend to be worse than your own.
however, bethesdas shit will always stay their shit, and nevar ours, so whatever shit the squeeze out, it will indeed be treated as the shit it is.
other ppls shit.
