Online Clans
Have you guys been apart of any? I was in about 2 and it was some of the gayest experiences I ever had. Basically your dying to be in an OMG CLAN of honor but it ends up to you getting personal with each other while all you want to do is game. Also all the clans take shit way too seriously and every one has its very own REx.

Was in a bunch for all kind of games.
Back when Klingon Academy (I miss that game! ) was on mplayer, I joined to get in the really big fleet battles... those were the times.
Clans today are mostly bullshit.
Way too many kids trying to create a large guild/clan whatever for the sake of it. Not to make an actual community.
Unless you're joining up for a tournament.. then it's kinda required
recent edit;
Now that I think about it, most clans are like DAC. A bunch of sniveling kids who each think they're special, unique and oh so smart, while they're walloping in self-pity because everyone else is dumber than them, and nobody understand them.
How ironic, that a lot of people in DAC try to be everything but mainstream, yet inevitably they end up in it anyway.
Blargh would be proud.

Testicular Pugilist
Which is true, and also true of them and again for those they dream to look down upon. 'Tis unseasonably warm, ergo constant snapping and thawing.Smiley wrote:everyone else is dumber than them, and nobody understand them.
Humanity is, perhaps, akin to Jörmungandr, only of stupidity and delusion. If they could see it.
Relentless. Circling. Not salmon.
Again, pride is a failure of imagination.
Regarding clans, have yet to participate. Had far too much fun occasionally antagonising such quaint souls to abandon the paths and join them in their puerility. Rarely trod non LAN events, rarer still against lackwit unknowns. Non issue.

I'm part of two gaming clans currently.
An australian natural selection clan called SST, been around for around a year and a half now, or longer. Can't remember.
And I'm part of Xen of Onslaught for their guild wars division.
Clans, etc depends on what clan you join. Some are absolute fucktards, alright, most are absolute fucktards. But you get a few now and then which aren't dominated by kids wanting nothing but to win.

I played a couple browser-based MMOGs a few years ago, but didn't like the retarded clan systems and their so-called 'leaders' and eventually got my ass kicked. The problem with clans is that they're infested with real people. I rather play against bots.
Nah, I wasn't designed to cooperate, so I usually just skip multiplayer. However, I won $125 playing this one browser-based game, SimCountry, but the cash prices have since shrinked to a fragment of what they used to be in 2002.

I had a bit of online fps thing going on back in the days, and this was way back; The Quakes, especially AQ2. What happened was, the place was loitered with people calling themselves "Toxic", usually "T0x1C" and that other leet shit, so I had a bug on my back about that every once in a while. So, hell, I did some paybacking -- usually grabbed a clan name off of some other "70%1C" chap (1337 BALLSUCKARZ and whatnot) and basicly lowered their networth by tk'ing, kicking people off buildings and being a general asshole. I liked that.
So yeah, mostly lonewolf me. Don't get me wrong, I'd clan if it ever got back in style. Thing is, I'm a natural born leader, it's being a follower that gets old fast.
