How?

Remember an amount of the content is not unrestricted, like the Fallout Bibles and arguably the Van Buren docs.

Are we allowed to shove Bible content into another server?

(or do you mean a different server on the same network, in which case it shouldn't matter)

To a different server and with a domain of its own, but to Taluntain's account on another server, with exactly the same people having access to it. I don't see how it changes anything, since the site itself will remain unchanged (aside from the fact that the server is better and we won't have to close the wiki down because of the spambot attacks).

Uhm, depends...

The Fallout Bibles aren't on a free license, but I have no idea how that works. DaC and NMA, as far as I know, simply got permission to host them, but they're not free files to be spread about the internet.

Then again, who's going to stop you.

PS: did you already set up a robot.txt file and a .htaccess block on spambots. Should be relatively simple, especially if it is the same kind of bot that keeps bothering you. Moving won't kill the bots, y'know, and that'll cost Taluntain some bandwidth.

Nothing will change for the end users except the domain, which will still be part and property of DAC, so this is a non-issue discussion.

And these latest attacks were not something that could be easily detected or blocked (like spambots). Not to mention that anyone bent on a hostile attack is not going to respect robots.txt, let alone configure the user-agent to something that could be blocked.
