Game you will play this summer
They don't have to be released this summer, just the games you expect to play during the hot steamy summer heat.
I will probably get back in BF2 cause its like a game that lasts forever. I also want to get through Silent Storm and maybe work on Rome: Total War that I've had forever. I also plan to try one of the sim type games like Gal Civ2 or Space Rangers2 and see if I like them. I kinda liekd that new Call of Cathulu game that I downloaded so I might play more of that and if I like it I will buy it.If hitman 4 is any good I will probably play that a lot too and forget about most of my other games.

Gonna go back to Fallout 2. I replayed Fallout 1 last summer and this year it's two's turn.
I have returned! (again)

Good question. I hope to play a lot of D&D (of course I'm a geek, I'm sitting in my underpants at 1 AM posting on DAC), but probably also PS:T, maybe Empire at War, and I still hope to get into Metal Gear Solid 3. And for some baffling reason, I feel like playing Icewind Dale II. It doesn't make any goddamn sense, and yet...

Actually, I plan on playing IWD2 as well. Never played it and I have it so why not?

Call of Cthulhu was pretty neat until it seemed to turn into a (bad) first person shooter... loved the atmosphere and story but I lost interest after it just sent lots of enemies at me.
Anyway I'll try HoMMV, keep checking if Space Rangers 2 has been patched to make the translation better (has it?), and the HL2 expansion and new SiN game.
I'd actually really like to play PS:T again but have lost the CDs...

Pirates of the Burning Sea if it ever gets fucking released.

Not sure about a patch, but I think the recently released US version has better translation and almost all the original text adventures are included(notably more than in the Euro version). I didn't find the translation bad enough to make the game unplayable. There were fewer grammar mistakes/typos than in, say, Bloodlines.Mr. Teatime wrote:if Space Rangers 2 has been patched to make the translation better (has it?)
If you're into sub games, try Silent Hunter 3. :alaaaaaarm!!!:

Yeah, I think I've just about hit that point. The way that you pretty much have to use stealth in cobat is kind of nice and the fact that my character is now hallucinating enemies is kind of interesting, but I really wish the fuckers (both real and imaginary) would stop respawning in the halls while I'm searching a room. Honestly, how many goddamn people can there be in this fucking town?Mr. Teatime wrote:Call of Cthulhu was pretty neat until it seemed to turn into a (bad) first person shooter... loved the atmosphere and story but I lost interest after it just sent lots of enemies at me
Actually, I really kind of wish that I could go back to the times before I had any weapons, that was frustrating, but all kinds of Lovecraftian. And awesome. Lovecraftian and awesome. Yes.

Well I have the Euro version, but I don't really want to buy the US version as well... I don't suppose anyone could direct me to where I could 'trial' the US version, in a PM or something?VasikkA wrote:Not sure about a patch, but I think the recently released US version has better translation and almost all the original text adventures are included(notably more than in the Euro version).
