Diablo II: LOD
Warcraft3TFT (vastly inferior, but still greater than most rts)
Quake3
CS
HoMM3
HoMM5 (pretty good new features, though overall kinda weak, especially the 3d)
Neverwinter Nights (RP-heavy shards -- yes, they exist and they fucking rock)
Rune is extremely fun, but unfortunately, not for long. A week of intense deathmatching and ffa, and it's pretty much spent. Simplicity is great, but Rune is just overly simple. I totally love the dismemberment and shit, but there's just so little variety in combat styles, tactics, etc. But, again, a great game nevertheless. I'd love to see a sequel that kind of retains the great fighting system and tempo but adds more tactical aspects.
That's exactly why CS and Quake are just neverending joy -- the tactical playground is limitless, it just never grows old.
