I'm going 360. Cheaper than PS3, better than Wii.

Go for a manual. Electric toothbrushes may seem fun, but they get boring.

Sure thing, I always go manual. I've noticed that toothbrushes with the fancy bending joints wear faster and aren't really that useful. I'm thinking a sturdy grip this time(the thick ones, you know?) and maybe one of those rubber thingies on the backside to clean your tongue, ever tried one of those? I'm more of a powerbrusher so the bristles can't be too thick.

I'm also thinking about getting one of those 360's. I hear people like it.

It sounds good. Don't forget to use some mouthwash. I prefer listerine in the spearmint flavor, though many friends of mine use Scope.

I have switched to electric tooth brush because it's more gental on my gums. With my manual toothbrush I was doing it too hard and my gums have receded quite a bit, but they were CLEAN. The thing I notice with an eletric toothbrush is it doesn't get the between the teeth very well, but it scrubs the outsides very well. I also have a question about your guys brush habbits, how do you brush your teeth?

Before I was doing small cricles on my front top and front bottom then just doing front to back on everything else. my parents then told me i'm supposed to do up to down on all my teeth, but I was almost certain that the way I was doing it before was the standard recommended way.

Also, always use listerine is kills bacteria and stuff. Scope is just more of like a mint, just sweetens the breath.

I purpose we change this topic to the toothbrush.

front bottom/top: circles, starting from middle to right, then middle to left
back bottom/top: just circles or up & down
rest: straight

I use a toothbrush with "compact hair"

Some health insurance mascot told me that way, back in 'Nam
Never had any holes since that day, so it's supposed to be pretty good, I guess B)

I use a manual toothbrush. We have an electric one, but I kind of appreciate the tactile sensation of the old school tool. I do this thing my dentist told me to do where you start on the gums and then sweep towards the tooth. Apparently that's the way it's done. But my dentist is a prick, so who knows.

Actually, I think all dentists are pricks. If you go to a dentist and you have a cavity he'll be all "YOU FUCKING IDIOT YOU HAVEN'T BEEN BRUSHING AND NOW I HAVE TO MAKE HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR A SIMPLE OPERATION ON YOUR TEETH RAAARGH" and so on. But if you went to see a real doctor and he found you had skin cancer or something (Dark Xenomorph NEVAR 4GET), he wouldn't go "you dumb shit, why didn't you get out of the sun?" No, he'll be all sad and dignified. I'm sure they train dentists to be assholes at dentist school.

Don't blame them, they have the highest suicidal rates because of assholes that don't wash their mouth beforehand and similar, their anger needs to vent, somehow. How emo B)

Dentists ought to study with Mandy in order to toughen up. He could take them fishing and teach them to be real men.

I use a toothbrush with the rubber bristles on the side. It actually does clean the gums pretty nicely.

I go updown, circles never really caught on with me.

Dentists care about your teeth like their own so they get pissed off if something doesn't look right or something. They always hire some shitty teeth cleaning ladies that last a couple months and like to talk down to you telling what you are doing wrong and why their advice is better than the last dentist lady.

I had some bitch who was the mom of some popular jock kid at school and she took pride in how popular he was but I didn't really know who he was because he just came in that year. When I said i didn't know him she got like offended. Towards the end she was cleaning some permnant wire behind my bottom teeth and it broke off. When the main dentist head came in shes like "i wasn't even near it, it just came off." I gave her the old stink eye.

Dentists make you feel guilty. There is no way to conceal if you've done a shitty job at brushing your teeth. It's not the dentist people are scared of, but the shame.

I haven't heard of these 'circles' when brushing. I brush straight, hard and sometimes my gums start to bleed but I take it like a man. I brush my teeth every morning, although the recommended minimum is twice a week. But I take my time to do it properly. If I am late for something, I can always remark that I'm not the kind of person who is willing to compromise his dental hygiene. Only 1 cavity so far so I guess I'm doing something right. Plus I used to drink milk every day. :salute:

There is no shame, just anger and scornful remarks. I usually just tell any sassy doctor or helping bitch that they need to be more polite and I do everything right with my teeth, anyway, so I don't need their advice.

I'd like to know if anyone of you actually hit their doctors with something hurtful or at least bit them, or whatnot?

My dentist lady mentions that you still need to floss to get the dead bacteria out, and its alwasy good to get food out too. Everytime I eat meat I get big chunks of it between my teeth that I fish out with floss.

Yeah. I just pick at it with my tongue, and usually I don't find any food problems. (But my tongue bleeds...)

Random brownian motion for a random amount of time. Works pretty well.
I miss the good ol' USSA.
