Hehe, I have also thought about it... it is provoking in a macabre way I cannot put my finger on.
Anyhow, go for it, Lunch! You can forward your war stories to us via cellmates' girl/boyfriends when you are in prison.
There are no 'knowns'. There are thing we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.
They are OK, in my opinnion. There are, afterall, worse black-metal bands. Their videos are hardcore, in any case.

Damn that was stupid. I like black metal, but I have to admit that all the pictures/videos are damn stupid. "Look at me, I wielding a club and have make-up on my face (or corpsepaint as they call it) Rawr!" I mean in that video one guy was always running around like a damn hunchback, how scary. Seriously, the music is decent, but the rest of it fucking sucks.
Fortunately, black metal bands are better live. I went to see Carpathian Forest a while ago, when they came to Estonia. That was really good (not as good as Metallica, obviously, but not bad for an underground black metal band).
Yep, thats the one... it is pretty good. Ha ha ha. See also Blashyrkh, this one has some cool cuts (well, only the bird actually) from the movie... eh, I forgot the name. It is about vikings in Iceland.
The absolute winner, though, is Grim and Frostbitten Kingdoms... abysmal.

Actually, now it seems familiar, like I've seen it before, I'm just going to have a look through my cd case.
edit: darn, I had thrown some of their cases away (bought every single album by Darkthrone, besides Goatlord and the new one). I just remember that it was in one of the older ones, Under a Funeral Moon, or one from that era.
Actually, Immortal is a pretty horrible band. Fun fact
Niggo, PLEASE! Immortal's instrumentals are indubitably kickass. Check out the "Sons of northern darkness".
The lyrics is shit though -- Cthulhu this, Cthulhu that -- as usual. Poor Lovecraft is rolling over in his grave.
Okay, I'm not even mentioning their mascara and LARP-gadgets.. that's just too funny.

BUT HELLHAMMER FUCKING ROCKS!
There are much, MUCH better black metal bands out there than Immortal. The only album that I like consistently by them is "Damned in Black".
