There are much, MUCH better black metal bands out there than Immortal.

Hmm, overall -- yes, definately. But instrumental-wise -- Immortal is the elite. There can be no "bestest" band, but there certainly is a certain top-notch group which Immortal fits right into.

Definately not. The only instrument in Immortal, that is good (or in Black metal overall), is drums. And just because they can play fast, does not mean that they are good. By the way, there is no more Immortal.

Take Death Metal, for example. Most "good" Death metal requires a lot of skill, i.e. Opeth.

I'm really unphotogenic, so it took me a while to find a semi-decent picture.

Red eyes could result from a couple of different things: from teargas after intercourse (black people only), from crack (black people only) and from the camera flash.

Furthermore, if you consider Immortal videos "bad" you most probably do not even comprehend the very essence... No, stop! Not even the tip of the iceberg that makes up the very essence of black-metal. I bet you even like Cradle of Filth, you scum! I also recall you saying that the new Metallica is good! Abominable! You ought to be punished for having bad taste.

Should be added, that eventhough I agree with some of the things Metallix said, he should be banned for stealing my signature and spamming the forums with leet-speak and such.

Well, if you mean that the image of black metal nowadays is a joke, then I do believe that I understand the essence of it

I mean, am I meant to find it scary or something, when you have a bunch of people with makeup, running around in a forest.

And no, Cradle of Filth is exactly what they call themselves, filth. I just recently started listening to Metallica, so I don't differentiate between the new/old yet ~~

I still listen to old Mayhem occasionally, but now I'm more into more oldschool things, such as Mercyful Fate.
