Rape? I suspect they WERE IN ON IT.Mismatch wrote:I have no idea how, but I suspect child rape (and horse porn) is involved.
Right, right, right, left. Do the monkey. We need more of this. Hopefully, they will omit firearms and energy weapons and the setting will be medieval fantasy world. Bethsoft would never disappoint their current fanbase. 3.Mismatch wrote:Proof?

Come back in a few months and you'll see I totally called it. Heil!
There are no 'knowns'. There are thing we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.

Vault Dweller may have his particular angle at times, and argue his points fervently, but he's basically an honest sort. The way he puts it, I have no reason to disbelieve him.King of Creation wrote:Rumors rumors rumors. What is this? Oblivion? Where have you heard about these supposed "locks"? Vault Dweller isn't really someone who's "rumors" I would tend to believe.
Anyway, this confirms what I've been expecting. If Bethesda actually wanted to do top-down view, turn-based and that goodness they'd go out and say it to us. The reason they're keeping this really tight lid is because they're aware of the shitstorm waiting to be released at the announcement of Oblivion with guns (well, real-time with pause is very possible..). I'm curious as to how they will handle the PR and marketing, they are going to want to whip up a lot of excitement in the mindless gaming mags and sites, get some new fansites from "open-minded fans" and somehow not piss off the "close-minded" fans (us) too much. I'm sure this has been rolling back and forth in Pete's and other's heads. We're in for interesting times.

And remember, I posted the news because I'd heard it privately a few times from people I trust. Seeing VD mention it on a public forum just persuaded me to go public with it.Araanor wrote:Vault Dweller may have his particular angle at times, and argue his points fervently, but he's basically an honest sort. Does anyone really doubt the fact that Fallout 3 is going to be first person, real-time? Vault Dweller's rubbish may be completely unfounded and perhaps also in other aspects poorly supported, but he's right, if not by completely randomly choosing a stance to argue for, which has undeniably worked in the past, despite not impressing anyone.
In any case, I vote for declaring any development team implementing soil erosion into a game as inveterate idiots.
