I mean, sure, Poochyenas and other scum is everywhere, but that doesn't mean that they're useful - because game gives you only certain types at certain routes. Also the statistics progression for wild and domesticated pokemon is different(In other words, pokemon whom you leveled from level 1 to 10 will have higher stats than the one caught at level 10).Thor Kaufman wrote:one can catch higher level pokemon in later stages of the game
If you had a wide selection from the beginning and had to actually use them all, there would be no problem.
And don't quote whole post just to make a point ok dammit

I don't think they have anyone that important working on the 2 dollar mods, because they are 2 dollar mods. They take like 1-2 people I bet while the more important devs just look over them. They would not put off key decisions just for the sake of those developers, plus the key decisions are mostly made by the director who is super Todd Howard.Kharn wrote:I don't think it indicates that, but I'll not deny that it's obviously one of the possibilities. A lot of their staff are working on the two-dollar Oblivion programs and they might want to put off certain key decisions until all key developers are available.Mr. Teatime wrote:Actually, I tend to agree with POOPERSCOOPER, it seems to indicate to me that they're still trying to decide on the key elements.
On the other hand, it could be PR talk.

Damn, St. Toxic is right... waht happened to all the negativity?
Has it all been forgotten/forgiven? Has happiness and good-will toward man taken over? Has a deep and meaningful discussion of Pokeman (and all the homo-erotic undertones taht go along with it) replaced the venomous belittling of Bethesda and any/all new Fallout projects?
And most importantly... is NMA the final stronghold when it comes to hate and negativity in the Fallout Community?
Oh... the inhumanity of it all!

Preserve the paranoia, jettison the Jack. Only then will your view be both fixed and realised.

how much negativity can several respectable people take without irreversibly damaging their aura or turning themselves into wild animals? it would be so much better if somebody here just did some kinda lethal voodoo magic, to just stop this unhealthy anticipation of something that you know will suck but assume that it won't in the event that holy spirit suddenly descend on bethesda guys and make them give a fuck and be more considerate and righteous.Paranoid Jack wrote:Damn, St. Toxic is right... waht happened to all the negativity?
i just think that fallout ain't gonna happen again. it's obvious. it's like those star wars movies with gay activist even mcgregor and his toy boy's face when you know deep inside your heart that its the old ones that was truly asskicking. i don't wanna feel myself like a yes girl only because someone can give fallout 3 name to his private piece of horseshit. so why worry at all? who's worse for another distinct action/rpg mindfuck game that comes out from any developer's ass? all in all, they're just doing their job, i mean, it's just fuckin normal.
My recommendation: Do me.

That's more like it... but if you want to be in the running here we need to take it up a notch or two.
I'll admit I have no idea what F3 will be other than a huge disappointment to 95% of the Fallout Community. I think we (well most of us) can all agree on that. But it's still damned fun waiting and hoping to see something none of us are expecting.
Shit since they bought the rights to do the next three Fallout games which included the assets of the mostly complete Van Buren... why the hell wouldn't they (Bethesda) assign a group to pick up where Black Isle left off. Making the TB isometric for the hard-core and the Action FP for the rest. After all it's not like they have a shortage of green-backs over there at Bethesda.
That would be a great way of handling this whole issue with the majority of us wanting TB combat with no FP mode.

Have you ever tried to mess with someone else's code from an unfinished project? It's incredibly frustrating. Now imagine if the code was several years old and also included the stories, art, dialogue, and general tastes of a group of complete strangers. Plus, if you spent 1.5 million dollars to be able to do something, wouldn't you want to do it yourself, your way?Shit since they bought the rights to do the next three Fallout games which included the assets of the mostly complete Van Buren... why the hell wouldn't they (Bethesda) assign a group to pick up where Black Isle left off.

It's all about delaying the game as much as possible!
Of course workin on the old game would be better, what if DAC actually had to deal with some real news and *gasp*, an actual release??
It would be the end of the world as we know it..
We might actually get *shudder* newbie members..

Isn't that what modders do all the time? And they are not the "professionals" being paid to do it in most cases anyway. I know it wouldn't be easy but why waste a partially finished product that was starting to shape up is all I am saying. I know it's dreaming but so is holding out on the hope that F3 using Oblivion's engine will be anything other than an Action FP game... right?"Have you ever tried to mess with someone else's code from an unfinished project? I don't mean to call you foolish. But perhaps "holding out on the hope" is foolish.

There's a distinct difference between modding, and finishing code for an entire game..!Paranoid Jack wrote: Isn't that what modders do all the time? Sure, but we like to hope anyway =)Quick show of hands: Who thinks that the license for Fallout has a strict 'DON'T TELL THE FALLOUT FANS SHIT' clause?
