I doubt it. Bethesoft isn't full of absolute idiots (though I have been wrong before); they know if they show screen shots of Fallout 3 and it looks how it'll look (FPS real time action game with RPG 'elements') that Fallout Fans will be pretty angry and give it bad press, similar to what we did with FOBOS. But hey, maybe they have such faith in their product that they'll prove me wrong and actually post pictures of the game, it is still just in the planning phases or something, where it's been for what seems like a year? Yet, even though all that time has passed, we still have as much information about the game as we did when it was first announced that they aquired the rights. Infact, I think the ONLY tid bit of info we got is that for sure, it'll be multi platform.Dan_Wood wrote:Amazing stuff.
Y'know, I wonder if they'll even release one screenshot before it's in stores.

why are we even discussing the guy's verbal skills?
I don't feel like listening to the cast, but from what I see it seems like the overall tone of the interview is really laid back, it's really just like two mates chatting: "c'mon dude, tell me something about Fallout 3 mmkay? - uh I can't really tell you anything but I gotta talk for a while to fill the interview time so I'll just mumble-repeat meaningless sentences a couple of times, since nothing informative that I am allowed to say comes to my mind, mmkay?"
who gives a shit, really.
they better do those non-combat and evil paths through the game, or else.
and screenshots? you really think they won't give them? I remember shitloads of screenies short before Oblivion's release.

Real Developer: "We're busy working on the uh...combat engine right now, and uh, working on fine-tuning and balancing how it plays. Oh, by the way, we're doing "[insert something to make this news item worthwhile other than polishing Todd's ass]", which would validate us speaking about Fallout in this interview rather than a whole load of content-less and barely-intelligible verbal dual-fellatio."
Todd "Uh..." Howard: Uh....d'uh...we're like...doing stuff...uh...like we've been doing for about two years...yeah, uh...still doing stuff...
There is a distinct difference. The fact that Todd can't speak for shit except for hype or anything related to Oblivion means that he hasn't been on familiar speaking terms with the Fo3 material with the test of the team. Which might work for the PR guy of a really shitty company like Bethesda, not the top designer/producter, no matter what company you work for.
Todd's more clownshoes than Chuck. At least Chuck knew what he was doing, even if it wasn't right.

Obsidian:
Now working on Fallout: New Undermountain!
They promise to spend only a year on this title - only a year less than the original Descent to Undermountain!

I think the sole real info there is that after their 'pre-production' stage when they say nothing, they'll have some bit of the game that you (they) can actually play.
If they don't want to talk till then - that's fine with me - all the less STALKER fiesta.
if, on the other hand, he can't say anything because he doesn't know anything - like Rosh suggests - then, well, then..
edit: and yeah, Todd's style is somewhat retarded..

Hell, they could just show some screenshots and we would TELL them why they suck. Why live in the darkness (well actually by his speaking skills, you could imagine that he's been locked up in a paper box for the past decade)?Wolfman Walt wrote:I doubt it. I propose a DaC podcast where Pooper shows us how it's done, true :Marlon: style (male 'friend' not required).POOPERSCOOPER wrote:I don't know if its because he doesn't know anything unless the thats the only area he starts "umming" a lot.
