Site Maintenance today

[ Community -> Update ]

 I'm doing some site maintenance today so expect some downtime for intermittent intervals. Also, as part of that update, I've deleted all users who registered and had ZERO posts. 90% of those were spambots, the rest were accounts rgeistered a long time ago and since forgotten. As a result, the membership list has dropped from 8,941 down to a more realistic 1,951. If you were a real user and your account was deleted, I apolgies. Please feel free to re-register. I've also installed a mod which will hopefully keep out the spambots once and for all (or at least, for a few years yet).

All right, I've just updated all of the templates and put in the Anti-Bot Question mod. Spambot registrations should be a thing of the past. If you want to check out the new registration, log-out and hit the register button to see what it asks you. The questions are completely customisable but I don't think a picture of tubgirl with a "What is this a picture of?" is going to happen any time soon.

Let me know if you spot any template errors or have any other problems which are likely to be as a result of the upgrade. Custom titles are yet to be re-installed at this stage, that will happen later.

How many times have you had a plan to add this and edit that and fix this and fuck that to get rid of the spam bots and how many times has it failed?

I think you need to accept that they have made their own little home amongst our community and it's high time we fought back by sending them right back to NMA where we all know they came from.

But the vast majority of them have been eliminated! The userlist has been pruned so that everyone with 0 posts is gone. All those spambots (and real people who were too nervous to post) have gone the way of the dodo.

What about all the lurkers who have watched us post and admired our sense of hilarody? Also why is Megatrons Palace gone, was that part of the "site maintence?" I remeber people saying how our register number was so great that we are actually very important but now we lost a majority of it lol.

I'm hoping if FO3 is Oblivion with guns, it will look just like the talking head backgrounds.
Complete with moving lips. (They could just have the lips as separate objects and plug them into the faces like in Clutch Cargo.)
