Kind Of Blue

Talk about music, movies, TV, books, other types of entertainment and what your vices are. Also, if you're addicted to the high you get off Aspirin, this is the place to talk about it.

Kind Of Blue

Oh, this album was love at first sight. How did I live without it? Mr. Davis, how I adore you.

yeah.

have you heard in a silent way? that's my favourite davis. he starts playing around with electronics and ups the minimalism.

my dad called it elevator music, though, which made me want to lodge the cd inside his skull.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

Pangaea is my favorite by leaps and bounds, especially the parts when Pete Cosey gets all crazy with the wah wah pedals.

Kind of Blue is good shit, too.

Haven't yet gotten In a Silent Way, but it's on the list now. I'm assuming it is from that sound that Bitches Brew evolved, so I'm eager to hear it.

yeah, although it's much more reserved when compared to the batshit insane jamming of bitches brew.

'filles de kilimanjaro' is also quite good (as far as pre-bitches brew work goes). very similar to in a silent way, but with more fire.
