Why does DAC insist I need a registry cleaning?

Make dumb suggestions so we can ignore them. I'm lovin' it.

I usually get the single popup, but the other day it went crazy like the old days of surfing warez sites.

if you want to get rid of that (and other things), use 'NoScript' and only enable scripts form duckandcver.cx for this site (for applying styles in posts etc)
However I gather NoScript is more troublesome than helpful to many users.

How about that one that asks if you want to clean your registry, and you click "Cancel", and then it asks you again, and you click "Cancel" again, and then it says it's going to do it anyway and then crashes your browser? I fucking love that one.

No, this is an actual error message, the kind you can't get rid of without either clicking OK or Cancel, or shutting down the browser.

What the fuck browser are you using? I have never seen one.

There are ones that LOOK like windows error messages, but it's just an image in the browser window - you hit the x and you're golden.

Fucking hell, people, am I retarded? I don't use Windows, so of course I don't click on those false "Windows" error messages. This one was an actual error message from within Firefox. On a Mac. With no red "close" button, just minimize. The only thing I could do was click "Cancel", or shut down Firefox. I clicked Cancel and the chain began.

KoC, back me up here.

doesn't firefox exist in a mac version?
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

sorry, i was too lazy to read more than a sentence into subhuman's post (let alone da entire thread). reading comprehension: rather horrible.

that shit is driving me up a wall. for me it's the "scan your computer for adware/spyware!" one that, in reality, is filling up my computer with adware/spyware.
