i just bought a new 250 gig western digital that went turbo crazy and self destructed. it froze on a DL of windows update, rebooted and it couldnt be mounted. i ran chkdsk and the scratching noises were so loud it woke me up in the other room. 20 hours later, still cant get into windows and i believe now the disk is dead

gonna try to make it work again for a few hours before i go to return it, that way anger will be fresh in my mind, and they wont try the 'we sell perfect things" BS on me.
