After playing some more of the game last night I noticed that pretty much 3/4 of all the missions are to collect something around the school then bring it back to the person who wants it. I will have to play more to see if the missions actually get any better than this.

Okay, it has gotten better. There is actually a small town outside of the school that you do stuff at too so your not confined to the schoolyard. WHen looking at the map their is another half of land that is blocked off or I just havent traveled it so there will be a lot of places to go, but not on the scale of any of the GTA games of course.
