Viva la Revolution
[ Game -> Preview ] - More info on Game: Revolution

Carandiru dropped by the forums to let us know about his upcoming post apocalyptic game Revolution. Here's the skinny:

Imagine yourself, 100 years after World War III, which resulted in
a total nuclear devastation of Earth. Everything you ever cared about,
society
as you took for granted was no more. The remaining survivors of the
Nuclear War
have established a very different culture than your typical american
dream.
No one knows exactly how the War started, but they do know it was swift
and only lasted
what seemed like a heartbeat. Some have referred to conspiracy theories
of reducing the population of
the Earth, others have more right wing ideas...

None of that matters now, that was the past. 100 years,
civilization is rebuilding itself
and you have your own destiny to fullfil. "Civil" war rages over the
last remaining non-renewable
resources, an elite orgainization is trying to rebuild a militant
society, and you are still only another face
in the crowd.

Here are some of the features:

Isometric Perspective, Real-Time Interaction, Turn-Based
Combat

Build, Manage Resources and Industry - Brick by Brick
(ala Sim City)

Discover the New World, Find the Truth, and Experience a
Potential Reality

Regular Joe to Mob Boss, to Industry Titan, to Assassin,
to Freedom Fighter, each Individual Player is unique.

100km Squared World Size, Peer to Peer Routing MMO Server
Technology

Shader Model 3.0, DirectX 9.0 Custom Engine (ala
project::SiliCoN)

Gameplay is the height of development, Turn-Based
Tactical Action Combat, SimCity Meets Industry Titan, Additictive
Roleplaying Experience

He's even got a nifty website. Check it out.

So this is the "when it's done it's done" game. Whatever.
Also, that's a stupid way to build a plot. One hundred years later no one knows why the world came crashing down. You're telling me that my grandpa wouldn't have told my father who couldn't tell me why we were blown off the face of the earth? Or maybe grampy-bone blinked right then and missed it all.

Actually pretty much everyone would be dead, but that has nothing whatsoever to do with the image. Try again.
