i need some new jazz
recommendations pls
i prefer fusion-y stuff like der weather report but am open to anything, though not so much big band stuff

i don't really listen to fusion anymore but shakti with john mclaughwhatever is pretty gut
good free or kinda free jazz (well known to obscure): mingus, coleman, alice coltrane, don cherry, albert ayler, art ensemble of chicago, matthew shipp, ken vandermark and tim berne. would recommend specific albums or something but i can't think of any names right now. they all give me the warm fuzzies so i hope that helps
